Wow, it's been awhile...

Well... for those of you who didn't know (And I think at least half of you do) Jason joined the Navy. Yes, the US Navy. The military. He's in the nuclear program training to be an ET (Electronic
Technician) and we're in Goose Creek, SC for the next year and a half to two years, depending on where he goes to "C" School. We've been here a little over a month and we've had some minor hiccups in the beginning but things are starting to settle down as we get into a routine and such. It's pretty here. We're just outside of Charleston, SC and occasionally you can hear/see seagulls and if the wind blows just right, you can smell the ocean. I've missed that smell a lot more than I realized. We're in base housing, and have a cute little three bedroom. Aidan LOVES his room, and I'm debating on whether or not I want to paint. I'm really debating on whether or not I'll feel up to painting it white again when we move. But all in all we're liking the lifestyle. Then again, we've just started and since Jason volunteered for sub duty when he gets out of school...who knows what our schedule will turn into then. But that's for the future.

And right now a nap is looking more and more tempting since Aidan's taking his. I think I might join him.

Ok, so I'm thinking about the movie, Stir of Echos and how I haven't seen it in a while earlier today.

It's on the SciFi channel right now. This is the third time this has happened with this particular movie.

Also, they're apparently coming out with a sequel which will focus on the little boy, Jake. Could be interesting.

I realized I haven't made an Aidan update in a while, other than the offhand mention of what he does. So now's as good a time as any.

I'm putting this under a cut because certain people have imformed me that the world does not revolve around my son and some people could care less. Whoever those people are, a warning: If I ever find out who you are, I shall hunt you down and kill you. Aidan is the bestest baby in the world and everyone must love him. LOVE HIM, I SAY!

So,
I don't really remember what all I've said about him recently and I'm too lazy to go through past posts to figure it out.
Aidan is currently 14 months old (As of Monday, anyway).
He has four teeth, which he has had since he was 8 months old.
He took his first step at 9 months, had stopped crawling and was only walking by 10 1/2. He's recently discovered running and is working on perfecting that. As in, he's grabbed the TiVo remote and runs through the house laughing manically while I chase him.
He says "Dada" to Jason...and me...and my mom...and pretty much everyone. unless he really, really wants something. Then he'll call me "mama" and my mother "Yiayia". He's a daddy's boy. (Except when One Winged Angel is playing. He has this unsettling tendancy to crawl into my lap and dance. It still unnerves me.)
We're also fairly certain he says "tickle" and "kitty". I think there's another word he says but I don't remember it.
To clarify dance, I mean he dances. With rhythm and everything. He shakes his upper body. It's too cute.
He loves to have his hair brushed. He'll grab the brush and do it himself. Then he'll brush your hair. It's very, very painful when he does that. But again, it's cute.
He's learned that spinning around in circles is very fun. He likes to make himself dizzy. Until he gets too dizzy. Then he hates it.

Today has been incredibly long. And incredibly boring. I wish it were over already.

I hate being sick. I hate that drawn-out, hazy, stuffy feeling of head colds.

I want to curl up and go to sleep. But I can't. Sigh.

How can it take more than SIX HOURS to put my TiVo on a truck and take it to my house? I understand there is more on the truck than TiVo (Right now, I can't imagine anything more important that delivering TiVo to me. But that's because I'm excited about it coming.) but still...it's been over 6 hours. And TiVo still isn't home. *cry*

BTW, THANKS JESSICA A.!!! for telling me about them being on sale. And I listed you as the person who refered me.

So Jason is playing with his phone ring tones and Aidan, being a music lover even at his age, keeps freaking out because he wants to make the music play too.

Jason starts playing One Winged Angel (Final Fantasy VII Final Boss Battle/Sephiroth's Theme).

Aidan grabs the phone and starts dancing. The music plays all the way through. Aidan starts crying when the song ends. So I take the phone and start playing other game music. Aidan continues to cry. I give him the phone back. Still crying. So Jason plays One Winged Angel again. Aidan stops crying and grabs the phone again. Then climbs on the couch, into my lap, and starts dancing again.

"All little boys love their mother." I say.

I look at Jason. Jason looks at me. At the exact same time, we both say, "Even Sephiroth."

This is the first time I've been online at home for more than two minutes in...3 weeks?

Life update: Jessica A. moved to Nashville. I took over her job. Is isn't as fun without her, but I'm getting along. No more fun time for me at work for the next couple of weeks, though. Debbie brought four big blue rubbermaid tubs of phones, one of accessories, and one random that I have to figure out what they are from East Tennessee. Joy, joy.

We went to karaoke with Eddie and his girlfriend, and two of their friends last weekend. I got INSANELY drunk. I had two songs...I sung one but by the time they called my name for the second song, I was too drunk to make it down stairs. And I think I offered to make out with Eddie's girlfriend.

Yeah.

Aidan's doing good. He's into everything, says mama, dada, kitty, baby, and tickle. It's cute when he talks...he'll babble on and on and then you'll hear actual words.

Daba doo ga cud ya BABY! No idea what it's supposed to mean, but it's obviously about him.

He's in his bed now, jumping and not sleeping like he's supposed to be.

Jason's working at Wal-Greens, the graveyard shift. 7 days on, 7 days off. He seems to be doing ok with it which is good. Less stress on me to make sure everything is paid on time.

I guess that's about it. General life, nothing too exciting.

Oh, yeah!

And Jessica A. felt the need to plan a wedding. So she planned mine. Heh. Since Jason and I agreed that if/when we get married, it would be in the fall. More specifically on our anniversary, which is Sept. 18th. It's also Jason's favorite season. Keep it simple.
The bridal bouquet

The tiara. Although I might go with the dark green instead.

The dress. In ivory, not white.

The decorations for the reception will probably be fall themed as well, and since Jason and I both share a love of the outdoors...that was a given. We found out that you can have weddings at Ijam's Nature Center, which holds special meaning for us because that's where we had our first kiss.

I picked the dress and tiara. She picked the flowers, arrangments, started pricing everything for me. Pretty much everything else.

Damn she's good. Isn't it supposed to take months to plan a wedding? She planned ours in about an hour and a half. I highly recomend her to anyone who needs to plan a wedding.

I like her ideas so much that I will definitely use them for my wedding.

we come out of Wal-Mart and start taking the old car seat out and putting the new one in.
